Hi, I'm Kim

We all know life is finite.

But nothing prepares you for being told exactly how little time you might have.

I’m 35, a mum to my amazing four-year-old twin boys, Max & Freddie, wife to my husband Ross and until January 2026, I was living a busy, happy life, running a small homeware business and working in recruitment part time.

In early January 2026, my life changed suddenly. I was hit suddenly by a severe headache, vomiting and lost feeling in my hand. After visiting A&E, a scan revealed a high grade, incurable brain tumour.

Doctors told me that without urgent surgery, I had just weeks or months to live.

Days later, I underwent a craniotomy. Most of the tumour was removed, however, pathology confirmed, it to be a grade 4 glioma, which will grow back. One of the most shocking things i was told following my diagnosis is that treatment options for people with Brain Cancer, have barely improved in almost 30 years. On the NHS you are offered Surgery, Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy. All of which may slow tumour growth, none of which are a cure. Since my diagnosis I have felt determined to raise as much awareness for the lack of funding in brain tumour research, so that one day, someone in my position will have better options than i do. I'm on a mission with an army of support behind me, on this greatest challenge of my life.

By creating this page and selling merchandice, i hope to raise awareness and get people talking about this injustice. Lets's get Brain Cancer research out of the 'too difficult' box and move from terminal to treatable!

Thank you for your support, it means more to me and my family than you know,

Kim x

Why I’m fighting

My boys are too young to understand what’s happening. I’m not ready to leave them. I’m not ready to stop being their mum, I’ve got to fight this with everything I’ve got!

The treatment I’m receiving on the NHS - radiotherapy and chemotherapy - is not a cure and hasn’t meaningfully changed in nearly 30 years. For glioblastoma, 95% of patients do not survive five years.

Time is everything to me now and the greatest gift you could help give. All funds from merchandise will go towards my ongoing immunotherapy treatment at the IOZK clinic in Cologne, Germany.

The reality of brain cancer

Brain cancer is the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet it receives only around 1% of research funding.

• 87% of patients die within five years

• For glioblastoma, it rises to 95%

Behind every statistic is a family like mine.

Any unused funds for treatment will be donated to brainstrust to progress the Charity’s work to support people living with a brain tumour, and their families.

Thank you for reading my story, for your kindness, and for helping me keep fighting.
